Camp in a stranger’s back garden – for £9 a night

If you want to know what prompted Mike Freer, MP for Finchley and Golders Green, to make the comment "It’s all right for one or two nights a year... but we'll have to keep an eye on it," the Daily Mail has the story.

I bet when he stood for Parliament he could only dream of exposure such as this.

A charter for shanty towns! Dear God. That would never do, would it Mr Freer?

I quite fancy this, actually. I could fit half a dozen tents in the back garden, and two in the front. They'll have to use the tap in the yard for a wash, though.

Couldn't look worse than my garden does at the moment. But that's OK, 'cos I live in Burnt Oak. This could really catch on.
